May Update

Following the collapse of the outflow from the lake (known as ‘The Monk’) we have had to carry out a controlled drain off to rebuild the entire outflow. This is likely to take a couple of weeks in total.
As a result, we have taken the decision to move the scheduled Float-Only match from Sunday 12th June to Sunday 19th June. Please check website for further updates should we encounter unforeseen issues which may prolong the closure.
Thanks once again to Paul Bundock and his crew for their time and devotion to rectify this issue.

The new Monk will enable us to control levels better during both drought and flood.

Spider Hall Memorial Match

The Pallen Memorial Match takes place this coming weekend. There will be a barbeque on Friday evening from 7.00pm which everyone is welcome to attend. Food will be provided but you are asked to bring your own drink (in moderation).
The complex is closed for anglers not fishing in the match from 6.00pm on Friday. The draw takes place at 9.00am on Saturday with fishing from midday until midday on Monday.
There are still places left if anyone wished to enjoy a weekends fishing whilst contributing to stock fish for the lakes. Call John Redman on 07921 355823.

Mote Park

We have been reminded by the council that our fishing rights are from designated pegs and swims only. This is to deter anglers from ‘stalking’ and disturbing nesting birds and other wildlife. Please observe, as there are bodies that are looking to make things awkward for us at the venue.
Reminder: The park is closed for fishing for the whole of June as per your membership card.

Match Report

The Riverfest Qualifier on October 9th has now sold out with two reserves waiting. If you wish to fish, I reckon you would still stand a good chance if you register in the next few weeks.

We are currently taking bookings for The Medway Masters which is being held over two days in July. Click tab at top of page for more details.

This years Kent Championships will be held on the River Rother at Blackwall. Further details to follow.

Nicks Tackle will once again be taking bookings for the six Wednesday Mote Park open matches. These matches start on Wednesday 13th July and are fortnightly. Entry is £5 plus a £9 optional superpool for members. Non members must also buy a day ticket @ £6. To book a place call Nicks Tackle on 01622 673899.

The Inter-Club match on the Royal Military Canal versus Cinque Ports was well attended with 18 of our anglers taking part. We came second on the day with Mike Rose being our top placed angler and Ken Burdekin taking the big fish pool for his Tench.

Sunday June 5th sees another Inter-Club match, this time v Linton A C at Wierton Res. Booking is as per forum posting. Ken Burdekin will be running this match in Mick’s absence.
