Danger from Falling Trees!

In recent weeks we have had two instances of willows at Spider Hall falling in high winds. On one occasion an anglers barrow was damaged but it could easily have been much worse. We are assessing all the trees on the complex and will be taking action to make your fishing safer.

Until such time, we’d like to ask you to take a look at your surroundings prior to settling in your swim. If you see any trees that look unsafe please report them to a bailiff or committee member and move to a swim that looks safer.

The above advice applies to any club water that you’re fishing on.

Demelza Charity Carp Match

There are still a handful of tickets left for the Charity Carp match which is taking place over the complex at the end of the month. See details below to be involved in this raising money for this great charity. If you’re unaware of what the charity does, please take a few minutes and visit the website:

Waters Report

If you’re looking for waters that are performing well, we have a long list that have been putting a bend in rods at present. Spider Hall complex is seeing plenty of 20’s and a fair few 30’s from the front and back lakes. Hinx Hill continues to raise eyebrows for first time visitors with good mixed bags of Tench, Crucians and Roach plus a few Carp and Aldington is proving a very popular venue for Carp anglers with plenty of Common Carp falling to the current ‘in’ bait. Great Danes is always good for a few smaller Carp but fish in excess of 13lb have been reported recently. The Medway has been performing consistently in matches with some excellent Roach falling to Hemp. Bream have been showing at Mote Park but the Roach fishing is not quite at full speed.
