How to upload an avatar to your profile
#1
Photo

  1. Log in to your account on the forum

  2. Click on the 'User CP' option at the top of the forum.

  3. Scroll down to 'Edit profile' (or click here).

  4. Click on 'Change Avatar' and upload a photo. There is a maximum avatar size of 1Mb, so ensure your image isn't too large. If you're having trouble reducing the size of your image, click here for a free online image resizing tool.

Just to be clear, the avatar photo should show your face so that all our members have an idea who they are communicating with.
Thanks for your help with re-registering.

Les, welcome to the forum Wink
URL stands for "Uniform Resource Locator", and is the address for a "resource" on the World Wide Web.
If you had a photo hosted on a website, such as Photobucket, each image would have its own address or URL.
Was there not an option to "Browse" your PC for a picture directly from your hard drive?

Hello, new member Michael here. I've followed your instructions and I too can only see an error message when I go to "change avatar". There isn't no option to browse photos on my pc or to select a URL, it just says
  • The URL you entered for your avatar does not appear to be valid. Please ensure you enter a valid URL.
Any suggestions for how to fix this would be gratefully received, cheers Smile

When I click on "change avatar" it says i'm using the wrong URL, I've used both links on the Email.
