About This Project

This section of river is deeper than Cross at Hand, with a steady flow. It holds a good head of roach and is well known for its larger bream.

Water Rules

This Stretch is managed by MVAS on behalf of the LAA, whose members are entitled to fish, and who may bailiff the water on their behalf. Please maintain good order and keep the water free from litter, or we risk losing access to it. We are also subject to LAA rules:

  • 2 rod limit
  • Car Park to be kept locked at all times.
  • No day Tickets
  • No Dogs
  • No Tins or Glass Bottles
  • No Night Fishing

  • From Maidstone take B2010 through Tovil and Dean Street.
  • Cross the B2163 into Upper Hunton Hill.
  • Turn Left into East Street and follow the road to the Bridge over the River Buelt.
  • Just before the bridge, on the right hand side is a small layby. Just beyond the layby is the car park. Use the layby to park whilst opening the gate.
  • There is a bridge in the car park leading to the river, and two swims next to the bridge, in the car park.
  • The Stretch runs from the bridge to the LAA/MVAS marker post several hundred yards along the meadow.
